Joni Eareckson Tada is an international advocate for people with disabilities and is the Founder and CEO of Joni and Friends International Disability Center. Her internationally known autobiography, Joni, recounts how a diving accident in her teens left Joni a quadriplegic and describes her journey toward becoming an accomplished visual artist. The author of more than 50 books, including her latest title Beside Bethesda, Joni is a recipient of the Gold Medallion Lifetime Achievement Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
